Guide Review - Book - Implementing the Lexical Approach - Lewis

"Implementing The Lexical Approach" provides the ESL EFL teacher with the tools needed to use the lexical approach in class. Instead of dividing language into grammar and vocabulary, this approach maintains that "...language consists of chunks which, when combined, produce continuous coherent text." Michael Lewis, who also developed the lexical approach, provides a concise grounding in the lexical approach and then proceeds to develop the tools (exercises, strategies, etc.) needed to use this approach effectively. Of great help are the six classroom case studies which provide "real world" reflections of the use of this teaching technique.
